Parkour (English Task)


Parkour has introduced by someone who is from France. His name is David Belle. Parkour always called as an extreme sport. But actually, Parkour is an art of movement to through obstacles with speed and efficiency from the A point to the B point. The main purpose of Parkour is to teach participants how to move through the obstacle by vaulting, rolling, jumping, climbing, and jumping. But, all of that require a long process for mastering this sport. Because, if don’t train this method with discipline and hardly, Parkour can be dangerous to our body. For example, when we try to jump that we don’t learn the basic of jumping, surely our body is not ready to jump and makes injury. Therefore, Parkour is a discipline.
If Parkour is a discipline, it means we must learn Parkour step by step. And also we must follow the process. If we follow the process, we can know a lot of advantages of Parkour. From Parkour we can eliminating fear and rise from failure. Why is failure? Because, when we learn a movement of Parkour, surely we will find a failure. But if we try continues, that movement can be mastering. Another advantages of Parkour is make our body healthy and strong. Parkour builds our mental and physical for our life.
Not only has a lot of advantages, but also Parkour has a philosophy. The philosophy of Parkour is, when we move through obstacles in environment, we called the obstacle as a trouble on our life for through with speed and efficiency. A lot of traceurs (parkour’s participant) take the way of thinking, they learn parkour and apply it for their life. By challenging yourself to find ways of travelling through urban environments it challenges your mental and physical, to think quickly, and spontaneously. Parkour is a way of thinking and training. The vaults and jumps are products of this way of thinking.
